Our Methodology
Every calculator on CalcHere is built on the same standard formulas used by European banks and financial institutions. The loan and mortgage calculators use the standard annuity formula M = P × [r(1+r)^n] / [(1+r)^n − 1], where P is the principal, r is the monthly interest rate, and n is the total number of payments. The compound interest calculator implements A = P(1 + r/n)^(nt) with configurable compounding frequencies from daily to annual. All VAT rates are sourced from the European Commission official VAT rate database (ec.europa.eu). Fuel consumption calculations use the ISO standard formula for cost per distance. Results have been verified against published tables from the European Central Bank and national consumer credit authorities.
Last Reviewed
All calculator formulas and VAT rate tables were last reviewed and verified in April 2026. We update VAT rates whenever the European Commission publishes official rate changes.
